The Objective
The Fondazione Antonio Madonna ETS establishes a scholarship to support young researchers contributing to the advancement of knowledge in fundamental physics of the Universe. This initiative aims to promote innovative studies in areas such as quantum gravity, dark matter, cosmology and theoretical astrophysics.
The amount of EUR 28,000 gross is awarded to the selected candidate to further the research in the physics of the Universe, covering research activity, expenditures and subsistence costs.
The scholarship has a duration of 12 months with possible partial extension subject to positive evaluation of an interim report.
Requirements & Criteria
Eligibility Requirements
- Hold a PhD in physics, astrophysics, or related disciplines, awarded after January 1, 2019
- Conduct or intend to conduct research at a University or Research Institution worldwide

- Originality, feasibility, and relevance of the research project
- Scientific significance and expected impact
- Alignment with the scholarship's objectives
- Candidate's qualifications and potential

Disbursement and Outcomes
The scholarship amount will be allocated in two installments (beginning of the first semester and beginning of the second semester after the interim report) and must be used to support the winner's research activities. The following documents will be processed and issued:
